High availability has been strengthened in Exchange Server 2010. Messaging continuity is an important issue when always-on service is highly desired. A more flexible platform involving incremental deployment, mailbox copies and shadow redundancy allows adaptability in services designed to keep a resilient server running smoothly. Exchange Server 2010 arrives with a very nice Deployment Assistant tool, calculated to analyze the current environment setup, and provides a list of suggestions to assist in an efficient deployment.

Administration is handled through the Exchange Management Console, a group of wizards that simplify Exchange management tasks, including a Federation Trust wizard that provides a trust between and Exchange organization and the Microsoft Federation Gateway, an Organization Relationship wizard that provides the sharing of information, cross-premises emails and the movement of mailboxes between Exchange servers and Outlook Web App, and a Sharing Policy wizard that allows users to share calendars and contact information.

Assisting users and administrators alike is the Exchange Control Panel. Text messaging integration, voice messaging integration, searches over multiple mailboxes and approval for distribution lists submissions exist for administrators, while users have their own capabilities and services they can handle without admin or help desk intervention, diminishing the cost and time of IT staff in handling these situations.

Users can now share information with remote users or users in another organization, resource mailbox calendar processing has been improved, and in order to keep traffic flow streamlined and operational, client throttling now exists to insure the system isn't taxing resource limits. Users will now enjoy the integration of voice, email and instant messaging from any platform, browser or device that meets standards protocols. A few examples would be the utilization of instant messaging within Outlook, called ID name lookup, incoming fax support, and missed call and voice mail notifications using text messaging. This user organization and prioritizing of information contributes to the overall productivity of their communications. Not only can users preview their mail, an example being voicemail text preview, users have the discretion to ignore email threads that don't hold significance.

Compliance features include multiple mailbox searches and legal holds, and more information controls which provides the moderation, encryption, interception and blocking of emails when and where necessary. The ability to search emails across the entire organization for matters such as 'legal and e-discovery affairs' are now possible. IT admin pros have the ability to set user management rights within Exchange Server 2010 to adhere to compliance policies based on each user.

To understand the numerous features and enhancements, enroll in an educational program makes the task of learning much easier. For busy professionals who do not have the time to participate in regular classes, online training presents itself as a very effective, alternative method to learn the new Exchange 2010 skills easily and conveniently.
