K Alliance Receives CAQC status for CompTIA A+ Training

CompTIA and industry experts have reviewed K Alliance's A+ training materials and have approved them, granting these materials CAQC, or CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum, status.

K Alliance's A+ certification training curriculum has been submitted, reviewed, and approved as a CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC). "Earning the CAQC status for our A+ training materials gives students yet another measure of quality," Hugh Nguyen, K Alliance's VP of operations, says. "We're especially pleased to receive CompTIA's mark of approval."

According to CompTIA.org, the CAQC logo is considered "THE quality trademark of CompTIA certification materials." In order for a CompTIA A+ training course to earn the CAQC designation, it must meet specific criteria including: addressing 100 percent of the current exam objectives, proper presentation of CompTIA's trademark and logo for the certification, insertion of standard CAQC language, and the inclusion of hands-on or virtual exercises or labs for each major exam domain.

CompTIA's A+ certification is one of the most well-known IT certifications in the world. Meant as an entry level credential, those who have earned the A+ certification have demonstrated their basic computer technical skills. Among the many disciplines covered through this certification are: installation, networking, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and security. These skills provide a basic foundation upon which to build a technical career. As a non-vendor specific credential, certificate holders possess computer skills that can be applied under varying circumstances and with different technologies. In order to earn an A+, an A+ candidate must complete a certification training course and then pass two certification exams: A+ Essentials and A+ Practical Applications.

"Many IT professionals started their careers by watching A+ training videos, passing their exams, and earning their A+ certification," Nguyen explains. "Our materials give trainees a front row view of the technologies that must be mastered while also allowing students to learn at their own pace, according to their own unique needs. We've always focused on quality and were confident that our efforts would be officially recognized by CompTIA."
