Learning Management Software Provider Plateau Acquired by SuccessFactors
An agreement signed by SuccessFactors leads to the acquisition of a leading learning management system provider, Plateau.
SuccessFactors, a performance management software company, recently signed an agreement to acquire Plateau, a company that is recognized as a leader in learning management systems. This acquisition positions SuccessFactors to better serve its customers with innovative learning management tools. Customers of SuccessFactors will now be able to implement a learning strategy involving video creation and sharing tools and knowledge management, development, and delivery.
According to a SuccessFactors' press release, the acquisition allows the company to be more competitive with its combined user base of over 15 million users, huge research and development budget, and extensive domain/HCM cloud-based SaaS expertise.
In addition to this announcement, SuccessFactors also released a white paper, The Link between Strategic Alignment and Staff Productivity. This white paper identifies three areas (alignment and collaboration, growth and talent, and performance and productivity) as determining factors for either success or failure. It also found that just 12 percent of all surveyed organizations have a system in place for delivery information vital to business management and execution.
Plateau is known for its Talent Management Suite / Learning Management System which in an integrated LMS and performance management system with tools for managing everything from knowledge, performance, and compensation to career & succession and talent. The Plateau Talent Management Suite also includes analytics, mobile capabilities, and "content as a service."
